National Disobedience
According to the Word of God, the
children of Israel are to take the land God
has promised them from which they will rule
the other nations. The children of Israel,
according to their own wisdom, determine
the inhabitants in the land to be too mighty
for them to overcome, and they reject the
Word of God by refusing to enter the land. As
a result of their disobedience to the Word of
God, that generation of Israel was no longer
allowed to enter the land. Instead, the
children of Israel wandered about in the
wilderness until that generation perished
and a new one took their place.
