Israel in Egypt
Israel, his twelve sons and their
families leave the land from which they will
rule and take up residence in Egypt under
the rule and provision of Pharaoh. Before
Israel dies, he blesses his children and
reveals that the “Seed of the Woman” who
will crush the Serpent, remove the curse of
death, and restore rule to God will be a
descendant of Israel’s son Judah.
