Babylonian Captivity
God’s Word comes to pass and the
unrepentant southern kingdom of Judah
is taken into captivity by Babylon. Judah’s
king is deposed, they are removed from
their land, and they are unable to follow
God’s Law due to their bondage in a
foreign land. The children of Israel are still
waiting for God’s promised “Seed of the
Woman” who will deliver them from the
oppression of the nations, destroy the
Serpent, remove the curse of death, and
reestablish the rule of God by His
representative ruler through Israel on
earth.
